3D Printing in Clay

In this course you will learn the basics of 3D printing with ceramics. This includes: getting to know the printer, preparing the clay, filling the cartridge with clay, making a 3d model using online 3d software, converting the data into a printable format (slicing software), and printing a small simple shape, approximately the size of a cup.

You do not need any previous knowledge for this course, but you must bring your OWN LAPTOP, preferably with a mouse.

Course Length: 4 hours.

Smaller objects are produced in order to keep the printing times short enough for all participants. Please be aware that the course might take longer than 4 hours depending on the number of pieces that need to be printed. During printing times, breaks may be taken. After completing this course, you will be allowed you to book a time-slot to use our the 3d printer during open studio hours. Our printer can create volumes of 25x25x40 cm.

*Bisque-fired pieces* (no glaze) can get picked up 2 weeks after the course. Glazing sessions (not included) must be booked separately, and can be booked minimum 1 week after your printing session.
