TERMS & CONDITIONS
CLASS CANCELLATION, RESCHEDULING, & REFUNDS: You may cancel or reschedule your class yourself by clicking the link in your confirmation email up to 1 week before the start date of your course. If you cancel up to 1 week before your course, we offer a full refund (minus 3,5% bank processing fees). Refunds may take up to 2 weeks to return to your bank account. No refunds are offered after 1 week before the start date of your course. If you cancel between 1 week and the start date of your first class, we offer a 50% rescheduling voucher to book yourself into a new upcoming course for the same course you originally purchased. You must email us before the start date of your original class to confirm your cancellation and receive your voucher. Rescheduling vouchers expire 1 month after the start date of your cancelled course. If you contact us after your original course has started, no rescheduling vouchers are offered. For any Cancellations on our end, we offer to either rebook you into an upcoming class free of charge, or, a refund is given (minus 3,5% bank processing fees).
CLASS PICKUPS: Finished class work will be ready for pick up within 2 weeks after your last class. You can email the studio or stop by during open hours to check if your work is ready to pick up. You are responsible for following up about the status of your finished work. After your work has been fired, we keep it on our shelves for 1 month only. If you don't pick up your finished work within 1 month after firing, it will be discarded. We recommend sending a friend (with photos of your pieces) to pick up for you.
MISSED CLASS SESSIONS: Sessions & dates of sessions in each series of group classes are fixed. Joining a different group for a missed session is not allowed. If you miss ONE session of a group Wheel-throwing class ONLY, you can make it up for 2 free hours of independent studio time within 1 month of your last class session. Keep in mind, we offer *no formal instruction* during studio time. If more than one session is missed, no more free hours are offered.
MISSED GLAZING CLASS SESSION: If your class contains more than one session and you cannot attend the glazing session, we offer a 50% rescheduling voucher to book yourself into a new Flexible Glazing class. To receive the voucher, you must contact us by email before the start date of your original glazing session. Your voucher must be used within 1 month of your original missed class date.
PRIVATE CLASS SESSIONS: Follow-up trimming sessions for the Pottery Wheel must be booked within 1 week of your previous Private Session. If you do not book a trimming follow-up within 1 week, your pieces will be bisque fired without being trimmed. Follow-up glazing sessions must be booked within 1 month of your first session.
ILLNESS / EMERGENCIES: If you miss a class session or need to reschedule due to illness or emergencies, our Cancellation & Rescheduling policies apply. You may, however, offer your entire class booking to someone else. To do so, you must inform us by email before the start of your class, including the friend's name, phone number, & email address.
ALCOHOL: Consumption of alcohol during classes and studio time is prohibited. Upon approval, Private Groups may bring their own alcoholic beverages to share during their private event.
LIABILITY & RISK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: Ceramic Kingdom is not liable for injuries that may occur on location at Ceramic Kingdom. To book a class or use the studio, you must rely on your own personal liability insurance or ‘Haftpflichtversicherung’. Students and Studio Users acknowledge the risks involved in working at Ceramic Kingdom. These include but are not limited to: flesh wounds or physical strain from tools, equipment, or materials; exposure to toxins or fumes, panic attacks, other mental health or psychological reactions, etc. All students and studio members must confirm that you are participating voluntarily and that all risks have been made clear to you. Additionally, it is your responsibility to communicate any conditions that would increase your likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in the activity.
PHOTOGRAPHIC CONSENT: You, your hands, & your work might be photographed at CK, and might therefore appear in CK’s online presence. If you don’t feel comfortable with this, it is your responsibility to let us know.CK requests that you appropriately credit us @ceramic.kingdom as the host of your creative experience, whenever you post a photograph or video taken in our space. This includes stories & posts on any social media platform.
RESPONSE TIME: Telephone inquiries are answered only during Studio Time / Open Hours: Wednesdays 12 - 21:00 and Saturdays / Sundays 12 - 19:00. Responses to emails may take approximately 3 - 7 days, depending on studio priority and team capacity.
SAFETY, CLEANUP STANDARDS, & STUDIO GUIDELINES: All students and studio users must abide by any safety precautions and cleanup standards communicated to you verbally or posted on written signs, website, or social media. It is the personal responsibility of the student or studio user to ask for clarification when needed.
Use of the studio for classes or studio time requires confirmation that you have read & agreed to the above, as well as to Ceramic Kingdom’s Studio Guidelines & Kiln Firing Guidelines.
If anything stated in this agreement is invalid or unenforceable by a court of law, this does not affect the validity of the rest of the agreement.
